Greek Mythology: Daphne

Daphne is a nymph from Greek mythology. She represents dawn and she is the daughter of the river god. One day, Apollo (god of the sun) saw Daphne and immediately fell in love with her. He went towards her, but she fled and in order to get rid of him, she changed herself into a laurel tree. As soon as Apollo realized this, he decided that, from then on, the award for astounding art, songs and poems would be a laurel wreath.

Daphne is the dew in the early morning, that evaporates as soon as the sun comes to close.
